Alisa Coral Mono Chrome Kurchatov

Electronic Psychedelic Ambient project Alisa Coral’s {Mono Chrome} has unveil the official music video for the track “Physics First (F-1)” taken from new album, “

This album is dedicated to Atomic Energy and it’s Soviet father Igor Kurchatov. The history and Kurchatov‘s efforts not only to make USSR competitive in the Nuclear field but also for peaceful purposes. As Kurchatov said: “The discovery of the possibility of using atomic energy is the greatest achievement of our era. So let us work on the further development of this discovery only for peaceful purposes, to improve the lives and well-being of all the peoples of the world.”

Electronic Hypnotic, Space Rock, Ambient with some Astralasia, Robert Calvert, Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk, Hawkwind vibes.

Samples from Igor Kurchatov speech at the 21st Congress of the CPSU, 1959 are used on this album.

Translation into English:
Soviet atomic scientists, on the instructions of the party and government, worked hard and selflessly for many years, first on the creation, and then on the improvement of atomic and hydrogen weapons, because they understood well that if we do not have such weapons, there will be forces that will seek to bring our beautiful Motherland to its knees.

The discovery of the possibility of using atomic energy is the greatest achievement of our era. So let us work on the further development of this discovery only for peaceful purposes, in order to improve the life and well-being of all the peoples of the world.

Second album from Alisa’s project, and to say it blew me away, would be an understatement. Although played using wholly familiar electronic and electric gear and fx, I can honestly say I’ve never heard anything like this before. Its musical scope is staggering and the fact that I’m now on my fifth play of the whole album, and am still hearing things I missed before, illustrates this. But what is it, I hear you cry – well, it’s space-rock but not as you know it; it’s electronic music from a Cosmic Jokers generation, but not as you know it; it’s bass-heavy industrial in its atmospherics, but not as you know it. The production is infinite, the playing intricate and the overall effect is like being hit by a hammer in a velvet glove. All instruments are played by Alisa Coral with the exception of the drums on the three lengthy tracks, which are courtesy of the mysterious I.D.F. The album overall, will have a wide appeal from space-rock to cosmic music fans, chill-out to industrial… Overall, this is one amazing album – like I said, unlike anything you’ll have heard before, but with many echoes from the past, pointing towards the future, so make this album a presence in your musical life – you won’t regret it.
