“Cosmic Quark and the Morning Lark” is the latest album from Experimental Art Rock duo Two Headed Emperor. Blending Post-Punk rawness with the musical ambition of classic Progressive Rock, the album explores fractured reality, time, memory and hidden meaning beneath everyday life.
Featuring Ric Sanders (Fairport Convention / Soft Machine) and Georgia Lamb. Released on Falling A Records, “Cosmic Quark and the Morning Lark” is album #13 from Experimental Art Rock duo Two Headed Emperor.
Rooted in the sonic spirit of late-60s and early-70s Progressive Music while embracing the raw textures of Post-Punk production, the album moves between dreamlike atmospheres, fractured narratives and quietly unsettling imagery.
Across seven interconnected pieces, the record explores themes of fragile reality, looping time, corrupted institutions, memory, trauma and renewal. Rather than offering simple answers, the album inhabits mystery — suggesting that meaning often appears not through revelation but through small, ordinary moments.

Peter Ashby and Barry Lamb first recorded together in 1976 as teenagers. They became part of a vibrant and immediate cassette culture movement releasing their own diy tapes initially under the name of Frenzid Melon. Their unique brand of edgy, Punk influenced Art rock has proved popular with cassette culture collectors all around the globe. Several collaborations, projects and decades later.
