Rostro Del Sol Live Colima

Hailing from Mexico City, Rostro del Sol have released a live session video capturing three tracks from their second full-length album “Universo 25,” recorded at Sala Colima in the heart of CDMX.

Formed in 2018, the band broke through internationally with their 2021 debut, followed by the “Blue Storm” EP in 2023. “Universo 25” — released January 29, 2026 via Echodelic Records, Clostridium Records, Stoners Dealer Records, and Smogles Records — marks their most ambitious work to date, weaving Symphonic Progressive Rock, Jazz Rock, Blues, Heavy Psych, and free improvisation into a conceptual sonic narrative inspired by real animal experiments.

The “Universo 25 Live Session in Sala Colima Studio” brings together the full ensemble — Mitch Bälant (guitar), Jorge Trejo (bass), Joel Franco and Ulises García (saxophones), Miguel Martell (keyboards), Cassiel Chacón (drums), and Alejandro Díaz (drums & congas) — for a completely live rendering of three album cuts: “Atomic Ark,” “Beyond and the Smoke,” and “Collapse.”

Video by Dylan Solís, with liquid show visuals by Kike Sucks. Audio recorded at Sala Colima by Pablo, mixed and mastered by Jorge Trejo at Rec-on Estudio.

The session is now streaming on YouTube, watch it via the player below:
