Finnish traditional Doom Metal band Septure has officially made their sophomore full-length album, “Under the Sceptre,” available for full streaming on their official YouTube channel, following its digital release on July 29, 2026.

First formed in Helsinki in 2012, Septure has spent over a decade forging a powerful brand of traditional doom metal, drawing deep inspiration from the crushing heaviness of the late 1970s and the early shadows of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM). “Under the Sceptre” marks their second full-length record, following a respected discography that includes “Foul Majesty” (2022), the EP “Betrayed & Exiled” (2020), “Sigil On My Tomb” (2016), and their initial “Demo 2013.”
The band describes the conceptual and lyrical atmosphere of the new album as a dark, majestic journey where “monarchs fall, cults convene and hallows creak.”
The eight-track record was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Sakari Vänttinen at Rock Alley Studio. The release is visually complemented by the haunting cover art of Sir Lord Reverend Grim and promotional photography captured by Emma Grönqvist. Released via Blown to Dust Records (catalog number BD3S002), “Under the Sceptre” features the complete studio performance of the band’s current lineup.
