Swedish guitarist, songwriter, and gear specialist Ola Englund officially releases “The Neverending Story,” a 10-track solo album featuring his signature guitar work, a fantasy and retro-gaming-inspired concept, and a guest guitar solo from Jeff Loomis on “World Rift.”
Known for his work with The Haunted and Feared, as well as his popular guitar-focused YouTube channel and Solar Guitars brand, Englund brings together an accomplished lineup of musicians for his latest solo release.

The album follows three previously released singles: “The Ember Saga,” “Dogma Progma,” and “Means to an End.” The lead single, “The Ember Saga,” arrived on May 27, 2026, introducing listeners to the record’s theatrical approach, riff-driven songwriting, and fantasy-inspired atmosphere. The subsequent release of “Dogma Progma,” accompanied by a music video, offered another preview of the album’s musical direction, combining Technical precision, Melodic passages, and Heavy grooves.
The singles have helped generate attention from established metal publications, including Progressive Rock Journal Metal Injection, Lambgoat, BraveWords, Melodic Net, Eternal Terror, Metal Noise, Chaoszine, and other outlets. Coverage has included interviews, album announcements, single premieres, and features exploring Englund‘s latest musical undertaking alongside his work as a content creator and guitar entrepreneur.
With the full album now available, listeners can experience all 10 tracks, including “Game Over,” “The Astral Gate,” “The Guillotine,” “World Rift,” “The First of Its Kind,” “Artax Reborn,” and “Sun & The Moon Part 2.”
One of the album’s notable highlights is “World Rift,” which features a guest guitar solo from Jeff Loomis, widely recognized for his work with Nevermore and Arch Enemy. His contribution joins Englund‘s own guitar performances in a release that places musicianship and guitar-driven composition at the forefront.
Englund performs all guitars, with Johan Niemann on bass and Jon Skäre of Delta Empire on drums. Jocke Skog handled mixing and mastering, while Sylvain Lucchina created the album artwork.
Limited vinyl and other media formats are available through Englund‘s official website.
