Felt clear the haze with new single »Here As I Am« an unguarded anthem of connection and self-worth!
Heavy Shoegaze trio Felt return with “Here As I Am,” the latest single from their upcoming second album “Soil & Sky” (Nov 6th).
The band reveals yet another side of “Soil & Sky.” Where the fast, driving previous single “Phantom Friends” wrestled with a friendship breakup and the strange grief of mourning someone who is still alive, “Here As I Am” turns toward a vulnerability that’s bolder and more purposeful. The song focuses on the rawest version of ourselves, exposed through connection and honesty.

A rhythmic, swaying melody carries the track, creating space to breathe between the walls of guitar. It’s a fitting framework for a message full of quiet confidence, carried by Hannah Christina’s voice, fragile and steady at the same time.
The band explains: “It’s everything we dare to say when we are truly connected. Not only are we enough, we are what is needed. Physically, emotionally, sonically. Just me. Here as I am.”
Recorded at Number Nine Studios in Ghent, “Soil & Sky” is Felt’s Heaviest and most layered work to date: eight tracks that dive deeper into texture, noise and intimacy, chasing both weight and vulnerability. “Here As I Am” is perhaps its most open moment, the point where the haze clears and something raw stands in its place.

The sophomore album “Soil & Sky” is a remarkable step forwards for Felt, into a deeper, more fearless and slightly darker era. Following their debut album “Saturnine” (Nov 2024), “Soil & Sky” breaches into more expansive, visceral territory. Not only is the sound noticably more confident and targeted, also the lyrics reachanew level ofhonesty and vulnerability.
Recorded by producer Sebastian Omerson at Number Nine Studios in Ghent, Belgium, the album showcases Felt’s expertise for building tension and captivating song structures, navigating a precarious balance between fragile intimacy and a towering wall of sound. Heavy pounding, catchy and Atmospheric songs blur the lines between Shoegaze and Alternative Rock.
