Running at five minutes and ten seconds, “Save Me from My Dreams” stands as the fifth track of Act 1 on the 11-song concept record, following the release of the lead single “Lay Down Your Guns.” The story, lyrics, and music across the entire 53-minute project were written and composed by Steensland, who also performed vocals, guitars, bass, and keyboards.
While Steensland anchors the core instrumentation, the album features key guest contributions from drummer Jonathan Lundberg and woodwind player Ture Trygger on flute and oboe. Additional guest performances include fretless bass by Owe Eriksson on “The Lab Rat’s Escape,” a keyboard solo by Emily Francis on “Lay Down Your Guns,” and piano passages by Ingemar Brandt on “The Calling” and “Layers of Skin.”
The audio production was mixed and mastered by Johan Steensland alongside Rune Fränne. The physical packaging features an original cover painting by Javier Herbozo, with graphic design and layout completed by Ken Sandin.
