Malombra Lady Bones

Genoa-based cult label Black Widow Records continues to expand its digital footprint, making its historical catalog accessible to the modern streaming era. The latest archival addition to hit their official Bandcamp profile is the 1996 landmark album “Our Lady of the Bones” from Italian Dark Progressive Rock unit Malombra.

Hailing from Genoa, Italy, Malombra established themselves as key figures in the ’90s Italian Dark Sound and Progressive Rock movement. Originally released in 1996, “Our Lady of the Bones” captures the group’s Heavy, theatrical aesthetic, fusing Dark Doom-laden riffs and atmospheric keyboard layers with intricate progressive structures and Flamenco guitar accents. The record stands out for its sprawling title track, stretching over nineteen minutes, and its literary and Dark Atmospheric themes.

The album is available digitally as well as in physical CD format via Black Widow Records.
