Love Your Witch

Love Your Witch have carved a fierce, uncompromising path from Tel Aviv to Berlin, fusing Stoner Rock and Thrash Metal into a cinematic, hallucinatory sound. With “Radio Fantasia” they promise a record that moves from Heavy grooves to drifting vocal passages and Cinematic solos — a work that positions the band among the more adventurous acts on today’s Heavy scene. In this interview we’d like to dig into the creative choices behind “Radio Fantasia,” the band’s evolution through relentless touring and annual releases, and how relocation and collaboration shaped the new material. Please answer in the amount of detail you prefer; we will edit lightly for clarity and flow.

You’ve moved from Tel Aviv to Berlin — how has relocating affected your writing, rehearsal routine, and overall approach to the band?

The fact we live in different places created difficulties to play together for some moments but we found creative solutions. To keep it going.

Radio Fantasia” is described as a Cinematic journey. What narrative, emotional or sonic threads connect the album’s tracks into a single record?

The narrative of all the album is about Fantasy as good and as bad as it’s get and where its connected with reality

Strider” is a striking opening single. Can you walk us through the genesis of that song — from riff or idea to finished track — and why you chose it as the first glimpse of the album?

Musically the idea of the song was to make you feel a part of a tale that unfolds. We chose to release this as the first single before it was the first song we wrote for the album

You’ve worked with producer/engineer Chris Fielding on this release. What specific contributions or production philosophies did he bring that changed or enhanced your sound?

Chris is awesome we worked with him on most of our records more then just recording it he was really part of understanding and shaping the ideas for the songs into the album

The band balances crushing Stoner grooves with Thrash intensity and 70s/Grunge touches. When writing, how do you decide which direction a track will take and where to place the balance between heaviness and melody?

It a bit intuitive we all have ideas from different places and we kind of balance each other and that’s makes who we are

Your visual language (the “Strider” video, artwork, live presentation) feels integral to the music. How do you translate the album’s sonic ideas into visual aesthetics and stagecraft?

We are happy to have good friends and amazing artists that works with us to understand our ideas that. We describe in words and make it into a visual. Making our fantasy real, worth to mention. Most of our art and visuals made by
Dan deutch he is the real thing

You’ve released an album almost every year and even a 23-minute epic single. How does this high creative output influence your quality-control process — do you write constantly and select, or consciously set out to create a record in a particular time window?

Most of the time before we record and album , the next one is already in the making. Most of the year we write and get the ideas as many as we got. But when come to the recordings we make it. In the time window of a whole week in the recording studio and till now it’s works perfect for us

The track “Cancel WW3” has an evocative title. Without leading the subject, can you tell us whether and how current events, politics or social anxieties informed any of the album’s themes?

As we are in a dark time lot of people around the world accept the reality as is and doesn’t question how it should be.
We want to encourage the listeners to dream there fantasy about the world. If more people will fantasise about it
we might actually bring it to reality needles to say we believe all wars should be stopped and hope the next war wouldn’t come

Tell us about the band’s songwriting workflow: who brings initial ideas, how do you arrange collectively, and how much improvisation vs. pre-composed structure is present on “Radio Fantasia”?

We came with ideas to the album. But with open mind about what will be happening in the recording. The structure is pre composed But we changed it a lot in the studio

Guitar tones, solos and groove are central here. Which instruments, amps, pedals or recording techniques were essential in achieving the record’s signature textures?

It must be Chris fielding and the magical Foel studio in wales that gets the best of us ,also after doing it so much we kind of found what’s works the best for us. Although we all the time try to make it in new ways and for this we reach new sounds peacefull environment helps

Vocals shift between drifting and aggressive. How do you approach vocal production and placement in the mix to preserve both raw energy and atmosphere?

We take every song and try pretty much everything find what make the best way to sing it for the song

You’ve toured extensively and supported bands such as Eyehategod and Acid King. What lessons from those stages influence the way you build songs for the studio versus for live performance?

I think it’s made us want to write songs to can make the largest stages. To shake, also got a lot of confidence in the writing as after we played many tours with bands we love we understand what unique about us even more and it’s giving a lot of power going on

Which track on “Radio Fantasia” surprised you most during the recording process — the one that evolved into something different from your initial plan — and why?

It was all very surprising as none of the songs went out in the way he came in. It was nice to have the experience of thinking you know what the songs are and how they should be but coming with open mind and change it all!
Was an experience!!

For listeners new to Love Your Witch, which three songs from the record would you recommend as essential starters and what should each new listener expect from them?

We would recommend to listen “To cancel ww3,” “The new world,” and “Butterfly.” As they different from each other
and telling what is love your witch differently

Looking beyond the release: what are your plans for touring, special editions, collaborations, or other projects connected to “Radio Fantasia” over the next 6–12 months?

We are already started working on the next album that will come next year we hope, although its not so easy in our reality we are in the making 2026 tours. We hope we can get to you all:) Big hug to everyone in the world!!
