Aawks is from Barrie Ontario Canada. We make Heavy, Psych, Stoner, Doom, Fuzz Rock with a dose of Sludge and fantastical themes of the Occult, mind expansion and spaced out explorations of the multiverse.
Aawks is Randy, Paraiso, Ryan and Kris. Aawks often collaborates with other musicians and has no plans of being anything but an amoebus like gel, enveloping any entity in its path that may contribute to its creative wants.

Forming in 2019, Aawks quickly put out an EP and, after a few line up changes settled into their current lineup in 2023. Aawks released their debut full length album “(((((HEAVY ON THE COSMIC)))))” in June of 2022 on Black Throne Productions which landed at #2 on the Doom Charts that month and #5 on the end of year Doom Charts list. Check out their EP’s and stay tuned for their upcoming second album due to be released in 2024.
Their new album “On Through the Sky Maze,” will be out in May of 2025. It takes a darker path exploring themes of the occult, life and death, the conjuring of spirits and demonology. WIth the addition of new bassist/vocalist Ryan “Grimepup” Mailman, the new album showcases a heavier version of the band. There’s still plenty of Heavy riffs, grooves and moments of Psychedelic exploration, but this time Aawks is more focused more on the wee hours, the shadows, alone in a forest, near a swamp or going to battle with otherworldly beings.
