Acid Plato Horos

Greek psych-folk duo Acid PlatoGiorgos Sechlidis and Dimitris Apostolidis from Kavala, northern Greece, both founding members of The Dead Ends — have unveiled “Prometheus (Firebearer),” the lead single from their forthcoming debut album “Horòs,” due out April 17, 2026.

The track is a concise but razor-sharp statement: three minutes of raw Psychedelic Folk energy built around the myth of Prometheus recast as a manifesto of political defiance. The lyrics leave no room for ambiguity — fire as resistance, the collective mind as the only weapon that outlasts any bullet. It’s a taut, purposeful opener that positions Acid Plato firmly at the intersection of ancient mythology and contemporary urgency.

Notably, “Prometheus (Firebearer)” is listed as track 17 on “Horòs,” hinting at a sprawling, ambitious debut — a double vinyl release with an 8-page booklet, available in a standard black pressing (300 copies) and a limited two-tone sea blue/milky clear edition (100 copies).

Drawing from Anatolian Rock, Krautrock, Psychedelic Folk, and Space Rock, Acid Plato carry the rich musical heritage of their hometown into bold new territory. One to watch closely.

Horòs” will be released as a double vinyl version including a 8 page booklet.
