AcidSitter are Polish-Japanese neo-psychonauts who explore the broad current of Psychedelia with Rock’n’Roll passion and Stoner Punk energy. They play broad Psych Rock and Garage Rock with a modern twist.
“PSYCHOPOMP” is not a riff, it’s a ritual!
“PSYCHOPOMP” is the latest single from the Polish-Japanese psychonauts AcidSitter. The track produced by Maciek Cieslak from a legendary polish band Scianka is an energetic firecracker. Stoner Psychedelia meets Beastie Boys here, and the whole thing is crowned with a pinch of Doom Metal. Broken rhythms, progressive form and wild intensity – this song doesn’t want to leave your head and doesn’t let you slow down your heart rate for a long time.
AcidSitter vocalist and guitarist Rafal Klimczak on the lyrics: “’PSYCHOPOMP‘ fits thematically into
the concept of the whole upcoming album, which is about the death of the ego. Psychopomp is a
character from mythology – a guide of souls, leading us to the other side. In Jungian terms, he
symbolizes the merging of the unconscious with the conscious. I believe that humanity today needs
a psychopomp – to silence its own ego and stop the impending doom.”
The single’s cover was created by a Croatian artist Lord Čardak (Čardak Studios).
AcidSitter debuted with the single “Sweat Dreams,” which was released by Irish label Fuzzed Up & Astromoon Records. In 2023, they released their first album “Make Acid Great Again” on Interstellar Smoke Records. The album received rave reviews, and the concerts attracted crowds of fans. They played in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Poland, Slovakia, Croatia, the Netherlands, Germany and the Czech Republic. They could be seen at the Bearstone Festival (Croatia), Helsinki Psych Fest, Red Smoke Festival and Soulstone Gathering, as well as at concerts with King Buffalo and Karkara.
