Santiago, Chile based Alternative Rock/Grunge/Shoegaze band Adelaida has released their full live session video for “Live At 20:00AM.” Watch the full live session video through the YouTube player below:
Recorded just a few weeks ago at Estudio Lautaro in Santiago, Chile, over the the 21-minute session the band performs songs from the newly released album “Retrovisor.” If you enjoy ’90s sounds, blending Grunge, Indie Rock and Shoegaze, this is for you.
If back in November 2023, the band from Chile released their fifth studio album “Retrovisor,” today they’re back in the spotlight with the presentation of this live session they recorded a few weeks ago for 20:00AM at Estudios Lautero in Santiago, Chile.
In just over 21 minutes, the band currently formed by Anke Steinhöfel (bass, vocals), Jurel Sónico (guitar, vocals), Tomás Pérez (drums) and Joaquín Roa (guitar) quickly run through their new album, performing tracks such as “Caída Libre,” “Resplandor,” “Desdén” and “Retrovisor;” in addition to “Brilla,” a cover of the legendary Rock band Suárez.
Adelaida achieves, in this live session, to transport the listener through time, capturing the raw and emotional essence of the nineties while infusing it with a contemporary touch (and mind you, they enlisted none other than Mr. Jack Endino for mastering). In this way, they align themselves with the new wave of Alternative Rock from the American continent alongside bands like Fin del Mundo, Monsterwatch, Las Nubes, El Shirota, Margaritas Podridas or La Ciencia Simple.

Adelaida’s fifth studio album “Retrovisor” is available now in digital format and will be released on vinyl and CD on February 16, 2024 via Spinda Records.

“Retrovisor” consists of 9 previously unreleased songs and 4 tracks from “Monolito,” their iconic debut album that now turns 10. The band has revisited it, giving some songs a second life that now sound more akin to their live performances. The digital edition available on Bandcamp includes a surprise titled “Brilla,” where Adelaida takes on a contemporary classic from the band Suárez.
