[News] Amy Birks releases second single “Brothers” taken from forthcoming album

Amy Birks releases the second single taken from the “In Our Souls” album which will be officially released on June 17, 2022. “Brothers” features guest musicians John Hackett (flute) and Frank Van Essen (violin). Stream the track through the YouTube player below:

Amy comments on the song: “I have two estranged brothers and those tumultuous relationships have been the subject, or at least the undercurrent of many a song. For whatever reason, we have never seen eye to eye, hence the opening words of ‘I don’t understand why. Do you? Do you know why?’ and the build-up of aggression through the instrumentation. This, I suppose, is my therapy.

Amy will officially launch the “In Our Souls” album at Stoke on Trent Town Hall (Jubilee Hall) on Saturday June 18, 2022. Support for the evening will be The Blackheart Orchestra.
