Apocalyptica released their new single “Talk To Me,” this time Lzzy Hale from Halestorm is there as a musical guest. The collaboration with many stars of the scene is nothing new for the Finnish cello-metallers, after all they have already had artists such as Corey Taylor, Adam Gontier, Till Lindemann, Nina Hagen or Max Cavalera on board.
The Epic and Powerful Metal groove of “Talk To Me” are the result of mutual admiration and desire between the two parties to create together. With both bands sharing an established history of camaraderie and similarities when it comes to musical taste, a collaboration would certainly have happened and at a time when everyone could make fresh, new, epic music, both bands agreed it was time. appropriate to join talents and release the song. (here the review of their latest work)
“After years of friendship we are more than happy to release a song together with the incredible Lzzy from Halestorm!” comments Eicca Toppinen of Apocalyptica, “This song has been on our mind for a while and we have been waiting for the right moment to finish it and convince Lzzy to join us to perform it in her exceptional way. For me it was a dream come true! We want to thank Lzzy and the entire Halestorm team for their great work and friendship that binds the bands.“
Produced by Howard Benson at West Valley Recording Studios in Woodland Hills, California (with Benson also playing keyboards) and mixed by Benson alongside Joe Rickard, Hale‘s brilliant vocals gives Apocalyptica‘s orchestral arrangement a rich dimension, and Lzzy he was happy that the two old friends could finally merge the talents.
