UK proto-Metal pioneers’ early ’70s recordings restored from original sources, featuring corrected track lists, extended versions, and rare bonus demos.
Unearthing one of the UK’s most elusive Heavy Psychedelic artifacts, archival imprint Seelie Court has delivered the first fully authorized release of early 1970s proto-Metal outfit Team Dokus. Available digitally as of January 5, 2026, and accompanied by Seelie Court Digital’s physical CD digipack edition, the album restores the band’s recorded legacy directly from primary audio sources with full cooperation from the original musicians.
Active during the transitional period where late-1960s British Psychedelia shifted into Dark, riff-Heavy proto-Metal, Team Dokus occupied a distinct niche in the UK underground. Fusing Heavy, Merseybeat-derived rhythm patterns with fuzz-drenched guitars, Progressive structures, and Occult-tinged lyrical themes, the band earned a dedicated live following across university halls and club circuits.

For decades, the group’s studio output circulated exclusively through bootlegs and poorly sourced archival compilations such as The Psychedelic Salvage Company. This definitive edition replaces those bootleg transfers with completely restored audio, reinstating the correct track titles, proper sequencing, and extended song lengths as originally intended.
In addition to the core ten-track album sequence—highlighted by Heavy cuts such as “50 Million Megaton Sunset” and “Night Of The Living Dead“—the release expands the band’s historical footprint with five contemporary bonus tracks. These include early demos and the Doom-Heavy piece “My Name Is Death.”
The physical edition, issued under the Seelie Court Digital sub-label (Catalog: SCD046), comes housed in a deluxe three-fold digipack containing a 12-page booklet with archival notes and original band-tinted cover artwork. Audio restoration and glass-mastering were handled via Reynolds Mastering and Abbey Road facilities in Great Britain. In line with Seelie Court’s environmental manufacturing standards, physical pressings avoid shrink-wrap or unnecessary plastics.
The authorized digital album is currently available for streaming and download via Bandcamp.
