Legendary chart-topping Prog Rock Band, formed in 1969 from the ashes of The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, featuring original members, Peter French (also of Leaf Hound and Cactus fame) on vocals and Steve ‘Boltz’ Bolton (who has played with Paul Young and The Who) on guitar. Completing the band are Ross Monro on keyboards, Shug Millidge on bass and Paul Everett on drums.
The Atomic Rooster album “In Hearing of” when it was released in 1971 reached no 18 in the LP Charts. It was their most successful album and the compositions played by Rooster are a selection of the best tracks from “In Hearing Of” and “Death Walks Behind You,” including their hits, “Tomorrow Night” and “Devil’s Answer.”
The band re-formed in 2016 and has received excellent reviews throughout the UK and Europe. The BBC series, Life on Mars, featured Peter French on several Atomic Rooster numbers, including “Breakthrough” and the ballad, “Decision, Indecision.”
