German-based independent artist Aurora Ferrer will release her second solo album, “Time Crawlers,” on June 23rd, 2025, via Bandcamp. Anticipated by the singles “Get Some Sleep” and “Ripping Tongues,” the new record explores themes of motherhood, illness, physical fragility, and the search for emotional continuity in times of upheaval.

Aurora described the album and the creative process:
“Pregnancy and childbirth are not medical matters… Until they are. Pregnancy with my youngest daughter cost me my thyroid. I had it removed two months ago after suffering from the hardcore effects of hyperthyroidism for more than three years. At my last check-up, I was told that there was a very high chance that I would get thyroid cancer. This could affect my vocal cords, but I didn’t have to worry too much about that. Ultimately, it was my voice or my life. An easy decision. The operation went well and I’m slowly recovering. My voice is definitely not what it was before surgery, but I will soon be starting speech therapy. Now I have to wait until the medication and my body have done their work. It will take 6 to 12 months for me to get back to a certain normality.
‘Time Crawlers’, my second solo album, will be released on 23 June. It’s a humble reflection on motherhood, illness, pain, joy in the darkness, death and life. This time I had the pleasure and great honour of having Eric Beckmann (Instagram @mewtfarday) on drums, Raoul Zillani (Instagram @raoulzillani.music) on electric bass and my husband aka Dennis Bausdorf (Instagram @olafmontgomeryjr) on electric guitar. The DIY recordings were mixed by Marc Maurer (Instagram @marcamaureraudio). Dinah Tenten (Instagram @dinah.fashiondesign) was in charge of the illustration and Alfi Feijoa (Instagram @feijoalfi) of the album inlay.
I hope you will find something among all these half-dark and rather cryptic (as these last years have been for me) notes and lines that you can enjoy.
