A new Swedish Progressive Art Rock project, founded by Carl Westholm, known from Carptree, Candlemass, Avatarium, Jupiter Society and several others, is coming this fall – Bakelit. With him are collaborators and friends from earlier projects, including drummer Lars Sköld (Tiamat, ex-Avatarium).
The songs have had a long life inside Carl‘s head and have existed in different versions and settings over the years. Now they have come to life with his new band, in a quick and smooth process. Remnants from earlier, more electronic versions give the songs a sound slightly out of the ordinary with one foot in Progressive Rock and the other in Electronic Art Rock.
The first single and video, ”The Coolest Place on Earth,” is released on September 27th. The second single and video, ”Remember Who You Are,” will follow on October 25th. Finally, on the 22nd of November, the full album ”Asleep or Insane” will be released on the resurrected label FOSFOR Creation.
