Basaltic Plateau is a sonic experiment blending Psychedelic fascinations with stoner and the abrasive distortion of noise. Originally conceived as an instrumental project, the band emerges as a spiritual successor to the Alternative Scene of the ’90s, delivering a hypnotic and visionary live experience. Maurizio Cau’s Noisy guitars and cosmic synths, Marco Serra’s monolithic bass riffs, and Roberto Loscerbo’s Psychedelic grooves pull the listener into a state of sound-induced trance, an inward journey through echoes of extinct dinosaurs and lysergic landscapes. Through dense and expansive sound waves, Basaltic Plateau leads listeners across deserts and seas, dunes and winds, exploring the deepest folds of perception and memory. Every concert becomes a collective ritual in search of the self, between acid visions and cosmic resonance.

Says the band: “A sonic creature swimming through cosmic currents like a stellar cuttlefish: fluid, silent, mutating. The track is entirely instrumental and lives in balance between two elements: water and the sidereal void. It seems to be born on a seabed, but ends up in orbit. The opening is rarefied, dreamy: liquid synths imitate the language of the abyss, while a warm, pulsing bass introduces the heartbeat of the galaxy. The reverberated guitar moves like tentacles: slow, swaying, with delay effects that feel like bubbles rising toward the surface.

The drums enter softly, floating, with dry and suspended hits, like an underwater rhythmic ritual. Everything moves slowly, but it’s the kind of slowness typical of organisms that communicate through light and color, not words. The climax is not violent: it is a continuous transformation, where sound changes shape like a cuttlefish shedding its skin.

The track ends in the silence of the void, but with a residual echo of light, as if a creature had passed by and left a trail behind.
