The Nantes-based Stoner/Heavy Psych Instrumental duo Birds Of Nazca, active since 2019, will release their new EP on May 5, 2023.
After a first album (“Birds Of Nazca,” released in October 2020) very well received by the Stoner/Doom scene and more than 20,000 listens on streaming platforms, the new opus oscillates between the energy of the early Queens Of The Stone Age, the aerial of My Sleeping Karma and a sound that is reminiscent Pelican.
The work of the sound identity has been pushed again and it is by adding a bass amp to the two guitar amps that Birds of Nazca manages to widen its grain always more massive.
With these 3 tracks, for a total duration of 20 minutes, the EP, named “Héliolite,” invites to (re)discover the universe of the band. The tracks, with enigmatic titles, allow to explore different facets of the duo.
Spheniscus, already present on the live session of the Smoky Van Sessions, had marked the spirits by this mixture of musical styles Stoner/Heavy Psych/Doom.
“Héliolite” will be available on Bandcamp and on the major streaming platforms.
