Coimbra, Portugal-based instrumental Jazz/Psych-Prog Rock quartet Black Pig Meat have unveiled the first single “Veggie” taken from their upcoming album, “Symbiotic Dream,” set for release on December 15, 2025 via Raging Planet Records.

On December 15th, the quartet Black Pig Meat will release their debut album Symbiotic Dream, a striking fusion of Psychedelic and Alternative Rock, Jazz-Fusion energy, and explosive improvisation. The record marks the conclusion of a creative cycle that began in 2022 and opens the path toward the extensive tour the band is preparing for 2026.
Formed in 2022, Black Pig Meat began as a high-voltage power trio featuring Marcelo dos Reis (electric guitar), Tiago Vaz (drums), and Pedro Lameira (bass) — three musicians whose years of informal jams and exploratory sessions naturally evolved into the foundation for a first album. The arrival of André Duarte (keyboards) transformed the trio into a quartet, expanding the band’s sound with new harmonic layers and atmospheric depth, reshaping their sonic identity in the process.
“Symbiotic Dream” delivers a sound that is intense but never chaotic: its instrumental landscapes are driven by poetic melodies moving through a frenetic, cosmic terrain. The album highlights improvisation as the group’s primary expressive engine, revealing a band confident in its ability to navigate different musical universes with fluidity and purpose.
After making their live debut in 2023, Black Pig Meat now turn toward their next chapter. With “Symbiotic Dream” out on December 15th, the band is gearing up to bring this material to the stage throughout 2026.
