[News] Bosco Sacro published the official performance video for “The Future Past” taken from upcoming live album

Bosco Sacro spent all of 2024 working on new music. Unlike their initial phase, they developed their songwriting by practicing and experimenting as a live band as much as possible, embracing the classic rehearsal space. The four members live in different parts of Italy, separated by hours, kilometers, and other commitments. For this reason, finding the right opportunities to come together and focus on a new flow of music has always been challenging. This live album is a pivotal part of that process. It marks a significant moment along the transitional path connecting their debut Gem to the sophomore studio album. In fact, “Live at Chiesa Armena” emerged from a brief residency curated by Go Down Records, spent within the quarters of a sixteenth-century villa in northeast Italy. The band spent three incredibly productive days there, immersed in the villa’s inspiring surroundings and its charming, colorful chapel, where they often gathered to chant or savor the silence. They switched between these peaceful moments and long sessions in the rehearsal room, making crucial strides in shaping their second-yet unreleased-album while enhancing their friendships and band cohesion.

On Sunday, August 4th, 2024, the quartet wrapped up this experience by performing at the Armenian church for an intimate, warm, and passionate audience. The concert footage, like the album, captures the simple, magical ambiance of the show. The setlist included Gem in full and three new songs: “The Future Past,” “Dong-Dee,” and “Undertow.” Two of them will also appear on Bosco Sacro’s next record.

Says the band:
The Future Past is the fastest composition we’ve ever made, and one of our all-time favourites. It reached its final form in just a couple of hours of rehearsal and it was literally inspired by the time we spent together during our residency at Villa Albrizzi Marini. The song started to take shape one afternoon while the four of us silently explored the corners and details of the magic little church, pacing its floor up and down. At a certain point, we found ourselves chanting all together. The day after, we proposed again this experience during our live performance, specifically at the very beginning: an a cappella intro functioning as a gentle way to ask permission to this sacred place, before delivering our electric flow of music.
