The Stoner/Doom Metal quartet from Belo Horizonte Black Feather Fuzz enters a new phase of sound and attitude, streaming all five tracks of their new EP on their official YouTube channel.
Brazilian Stoner/Doom Metal outfit Black Feather Fuzz has officially released and is now streaming their new five-song EP, “Fuzzy Catharsis.”

Originally formed in 2011, the group is entering a brand new phase of their career with this release. Formerly known as Black Feather Klan (or simply BFK), the band chose to adjust their name to distance themselves from any negative cultural connotations associated with the word “Klan” outside of Brazil as they reach out to a global audience.
“Fuzzy Catharsis” delivers 23 minutes of dense, impactful, and visceral heavy music across five tracks. Inspired by legendary acts such as Red Fang, Clutch, Kyuss, and Black Sabbath, the band’s signature sound is built on raw riffs, Heavy Psychedelic passages, and pure energy.
Throughout the EP, guitarist Pedro “Zé” Barros and bassist Rubens “Grilão” da Trindade establish a crushing tonal heft, highlighted by a stark start-stop groove on the opening track “Less Than a Shadow.” Drummer Thiago Fernandes keeps the groove locked in while vocalist Cristiano “Nibal” Soares delivers a highly confrontational performance, seamlessly transitioning between clean melodies, harsh vocals, and deep death-growls. Shifting away from the crushing depths of the penultimate track “Liar, Fire…” the EP closes on a Heavy Rock and roll note with “Balm as Refuge,” featuring guest vocalist Marla Calazans on backing vocals.
The EP was produced, recorded, and mixed by Manfredo Savassi alongside the band, with Savassi also handling mastering duties. The striking cover art was created by Tim Tatoo Blackhorseman and Rogério Castro.
