Chinese Progressive Rock band Caumann Riechy published the official trailer for their debut album “The Contextual Order” out on March 21, 2023. Stream the trailer through the YouTube player below:
The band also shared the “Look back – 1 year making our debut album” video:
Caumann Riechy comes from Changde, China. We never planned this growth over the past ten years – from five vigorous high school students, to a rigorous Indie Rock band. Coincidentally in 2022, all of us were experiencing the transition from students to workers, but none of us could settle for the unsatisfying situation. This is when we set off for an album.
“The Contextual Order” is our first work. Born in the late 90s, raised along with globalisation, and getting mature in the post-pandemic era, we compared the perceived reality to the hometown existing in our expectations, and the differences between became this album:
A young perspective of view of tragic yet odic story happening in our country. A maze of our identities living in a once opened but now closing world. Poetic and narrative, artistic and scientific, sentimental and cerebral, literal and contextual, this album is presented by us.
