[News] Children of the Sün release new stand-alone single ”Come With Us”

Children of the Sün returns with the stand alone single ”Come With Us.” The Swedish Rock group released their critically acclaimed, second studio album ”Roots” during the spring of 2022, and now they’re back with a new, direct and playful track. Following the release of ”Come With Us,” Children of the Sün will perform on one of Sweden’s leading festivals, Sweden Rock Festival.

The band comments:
Come With Us” to a new era of Children of the Sün, leave all sorrow and troubles behind. Then you’ll become gold!

This is a light and forward-looking track that calls for summer and blissfulness. It’s about letting your senses lead the way until you find yourself rooting and floating at once. From where you once stood into the glistening unknown.

The clouds in the sky got nothing to hide, I know that it’s all right.

Musically, the song is direct yet playful. It colors the Classic Rock sound with tight harmonies which beckons Fleetwood Mac and another variety of different influences. The song was written by guitarist Jacob Hellenrud and vocalist Josefina Berglund Ekholm, and tied together by the band during a weekend at Sound Society (Gävle, Sweden).

Come With Us” is released by The Sign Records and is available on all streaming platforms from the June 02, 2023.

Inspired by Janis Joplin, Rival Sons, and the free lovin’ spirit of 1969’s legendary Woodstock Festival, Children of the Sün embody both the carefree and reflective sides of Classic Rock music. Following their 2018 success in the Swedish music competition Livekarusellen, the band released a self-titled EP and later came under the wing of The Sign Records, joining acts such as Hällas, MaidaVale, Skraeckoedlan, and The Hawkins. In 2019 the band released their first full-length album “Flowers” which was received with great love from the audience and the vinyl sold out just a few months after the release.

The song “Her Game” from their debut-album got chosen by the Swedish nationwide newspaper Aftonbladet on their list of best Rock songs of 2019.

Since then the band have played on festivals and stages around Sweden including Arvika Hamnfest, Festival Of The Midnight Sun, Putte i Parken and The Sign Fest. They’ve hosted their own show in a barn out in the woods together with drummer Björn Fryklund (Freak Kitchen), and supported Trummor & Orgel on their tour.

Children of the Sün released their second studio album “Roots” via The Sign Records on March 18, 2022.
