UK Prog Rockers CIRCU5 have released “Skin Machine“: the second single and video from their forthcoming album, “Clockwork Tulpa.” The track explores the psychological manipulation of Grady (the protagonist in the CIRCU5 story) as he’s coerced into becoming the messianic leader of a rogue group of escapees.

“Skin Machine deals with the experience of falling prey to charismatic, controlling people who convince us they know best and can make everything better,” says CIRCU5 frontman, Steve Tilling. “Whether we’re lured into toxic relationships or cultic belief systems, we risk becoming mindless automatons: skin machines programmed to obey.“
Alongside Steve, “Skin Machine” features CIRCU5 bandmates Mark Kilminster (Tin Spirits frontman on bass) and Lee Moulding (drums), plus Paul Clark (David Cross Band) guesting on lead guitar.
