British Prog Rockers CIRCU5 are back with “Freakshow Train“: a new single and video from their forthcoming album, “Clockwork Tulpa.” The release is CIRCU5‘s first as a full band, featuring founder Steve Tilling, Mark Kilminster and Lee Moulding.
Directed by Dan Sollis, the song’s video blends band performances and imagery from videographer Lou Dommett Young and artist Jennie Anderson. “Freakshow Train is about a feeling most of us experience: that we’re worthless and don’t belong,” says Steve. “It’s a rallying cry for everyone struggling with self-doubt – don’t worry, you’re not alone. We’re all riding the same train.”

CIRCU5‘s second album, “Clockwork Tulpa,” releases on March 07, 2025, almost eight years after the debut. Steve explains the delay: “In 2020, I contracted Long Covid, which incapacitated me for a year. Add to that commitments to other projects, and I thought we’d never finish the album. It’s been a rough ride, with more downs than ups. But we made it, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.“
“Freakshow Train” is available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and all other major platforms. The new album is available for pre-order at www.circu5.com
