After the advances “Raska-Yú,” “The Big Sleep” and “(Des)ubicado,” Cuneo returns “Como Nikki Lauda,” a new message in which the band talks about the second chances that life offers. With Alternative Rock as a base, but with high doses of Post-Rock and even touches of Progressive and spoken word, Juan A. Soler “Kantz” (Delobos, Habitar La Mar) and Aitor de Haro (The Wax) once again embrace Spanish as a language, letting himself be guided by Miguel Hernández and Juan Ballester on guitars, Manuel Cases on bass, and Gustavo R. Cuneo on drums.
The video-clip of “Como Nikki Lauda,” released this morning by RockZone Magazine, has been co-produced by Area Estudio and lavoluntad_; directed by the drummer of the band Gustavo R. Cuneo with the help of José Manuel García in photography and the collaborations of Iris Rocamora, Coco Illán, Raúl Murcia and Jorge Rodríguez.
And the fact is that since Cuneo released his self-titled debut back in 2017, many things have changed, such as the fact that the family has grown in number, now being made up of members of Turbian, Galgo, Zombies & Diamonds, Virgen, Habitar La Mar, The Wax and Delobos, joined by collaborators from Los Manises and Violencia Lírica. And everyone always at the service of the songs because “Celestines” is an album that talks about the infinite power of songs and how they are capable of traveling through space and time to deliver that message that will change our lives, that will make us fall in love or that, even sometimes, will deceive us. Guess what the message is in “Como Nikki Lauda?”
This second record release by Cuneo was recorded and mixed by the band’s own guitarist Juan Ballester at Delta Estudio (Spain), later mastering at Last Punch Mastering (Scotland) by Martín Ballesta. With artwork by the omnipresent The Braves Church, “Celestines” will be released on March 18, 2022 on digital and vinyl, in an ultra-limited edition of 200 hand-numbered copies in transparent color thanks to the collaboration of Spinda Records, El Trueno, Long Live Records, The Braves Records, Lengua Armada, Gato Encerrado Records, Quebranta Records, Odio Sonoro, Bandera Records and Brunzit Records.
