Official Press Release:
Released November 11, 2019, ‘Hunter’ is the new single from the Italian Prog Metal band Dammercide. An amazing mixture of heavy guitars, melodic voices and middle eastern motifs that ride an unstoppable mid tempo, to tell the story of a wild hunt through the voices of its protagonists: the hunter and the prey.
“Through the images of the hunt, with Hunter we tell about two complementary aspects of existence, the obsession and the escape “tells the band.” In the span of his life, each of us found himself dressing both as the hunter’s clothes of the deer: one is prey to the obsessive desire to get something, the other fleeing from demons that does not have the courage to face until he feels hunted. The message we want to give is very concrete: in the end it is only when we find ourselves face to face with our nemesis that we decide our destiny, and often we discover that in reality we do not really desire what we have pursued with so much anxiety and that from which let’s run away can’t really hurt us. “
Produced by Enrico Benvenuto and Demetrio Scopelliti, published by FusionCore Records and recorded between Italy and Norway, Hunter not only represents the band’s new single, but is also the first unreleased track that the Dammercide publish after a period of silence of almost twenty years. It is also the first extract from the full-length The Seed, which is scheduled for release early in 2020.
Alongside the names of the band’s historical members, Enrico Benvenuto (guitar), Fabio Colombi (vocals), Fabio Decovich (bass) and Fausto Massa (guitar), those of Demetrio Scopelliti (guitar) and Enzo Rotondaro (drums), already members, stand out of Arcadia and Glacial Fear.
The single Hunter is available on the main music platforms.
