Rainbow FInyl Vinyl

Archival double album capturing live performances and studio rarities across the Dio, Bonnet, and Turner eras fully remastered for Deluxe Vinyl and CD editions.

Deko Entertainment has officially announced a 40th Anniversary remastered and repackaged edition of “Finyl Vinyl,” the retrospective collection from legendary Hard Rock ensemble Rainbow. The updated release brings Ritchie Blackmore’s celebrated group back into focus with restored audio, premium physical packaging, and expanded historical documentation.

Originally released in 1986 following the band’s initial dissolution when guitarist Ritchie Blackmore rejoined Deep Purple, “Finyl Vinyl” serves as a career-spanning document of Rainbow‘s multi-era trajectory. Formed in the mid-1970s, Rainbow achieved international acclaim by fusing Heavy Hard Rock riffs with Classical structures and fantasy-themed lyricism. The group produced a sequence of classic studio albums, including “Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow” (1975), “Rising” (1976), “Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll” (1978), and “Down to Earth” (1979), yielding radio staples such as “Man on the Silver Mountain,” “Stargazer,” “Since You Been Gone,” and “Stone Cold.”

Following vocalist Ronnie James Dio’s departure in 1979 to join Black Sabbath, Rainbow shifted toward a more commercial Hard Rock sound under frontmen Graham Bonnet and subsequently Joe Lynn Turner, achieving significant chart success prior to disbanding in 1984.

“Finyl Vinyl” compiles dynamic live concert recordings alongside previously unreleased studio tracks, spanning Rainbow‘s evolution from the Dio era through the Bonnet and Turner lineups. The collection features performances of fan favorites, including “Kill the King,” “Man on the Silver Mountain,” “Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll,” “Since You Been Gone,” and “Street of Dreams,” alongside the previously unreleased studio composition “Jealous Lover.”

For its 40th Anniversary edition, “Finyl Vinyl” has been fully remastered and repackaged. The reissue is available across multiple physical formats:

Double LP (LPX2): Pressed on 180-gram double colored vinyl.
Double CD (CDX2): Complete 2-CD package with remastered audio.
Autographed Bundle: A limited-quantity edition featuring collector components.
