Italian Heavy Rock/Stoner band Desert Twelve published the official video for the track “The Dragon” taken from upcoming new album “The Last Dark Wood” due out on June 20, 2024 via Orzorock Music. Watch the video through the youTube player below:
“The Last Dark Wood” is the new album by Desert Twelve, to be released on 20 June 2024 by Orzorock Music.
The title refers to the last sacred wood, an oasis of truth and virtue, which was made between 1520 and 1560 by an Italian nobleman for his wife who died prematurely.
“The Last Dark Wood” explores esoteric and spiritual themes, talking about contact with nature (the eponymous track “The Last Dark Wood“), presenting mythological characters from Mediterranean popular culture (“Echidna,” mother of Cerberus), mixed with elements belonging to the Nordic world (“The Dragon“). A sacred and dark magical place, as the Desert Twelve‘s album is intended to be.
On a musical level, “The Last Dark Wood” is a journey into that sound world of Hard Rock, Psychedelia and Stoner, all filtered through the personality of the five musicians from Piacenza.
Biography:
Desert Twelve was born in Piacenza in 2021 at the behest of guitarist Gabriele ‘Gaby’ Finotti, formerly in Misfatto, a historic band from Piacenza still active today. The band currently consists of Davide Radicelli (bass), Luca Dabergami (drums), Alex Viti (guitar), Vittoria Ipri (vocals) and Gabriele Finotti. Their self-titled debut album was releases on June 29, 2022 by Orzorock Music.
