
Luminol Records is pleased to present “Mastodontic Pig,” the new single from Electric Wires. A piece that excellently showcases the power-trio’s combination of technique, improvisation and refined writing, with the aim of exploring complex sound structures and evocative atmospheres under the banner of a contemporary Instrumental Progressive, powerful and sophisticated at the same time.

Electric Wires is a trio formed in 2023, consisting of Alessandro Di Virgilio (electric guitar), Paul Zogno (electric bass) and Ciro Iavarone (drums). Their sound is a fusion of styles, with influences ranging from 70s Prog to Thrash Metal, from Fusion to World Music. Their main inspirations include Pantera, Steve Vai, King Crimson, Bill Frisell and Led Zeppelin. With experience gained in areas as diverse as Jazz, Progressive and international projects, with Electric Wires the three musicians attempt to synthesise their vision, driven by a desire to redefine the boundaries of contemporary Instrumental Rock.
“Mastodontic Pig” anticipates their eponymous debut album, due out with Luminol on February 28, 2025. Electric Wires‘ first record will be a collection of ten original tracks that express the trio’s identity: each track is a journey that reflects the influences of the three members, combining elements of technique, improvisation and Experimental sounds.
