[News] Esoteric Recordings to release Ernie Graham’s sel-titled album Remastered CD Edition

The Belfast born musician first came to prominence in the band Eire Apparent (whose only album was produced by Jimi Hendrix). Following the bandā€™s demise, he signed to the Down Home management stable (who also had the bands Help Yourself and Brinsley Schwarz on their roster). This association in turn led to Graham signing with Liberty Records as a solo artist.

Ernie Grahamā€™s 1971 eponymous album featured both Help Yourself and Brinsley Schwarz backing him on a selection of songs which were later described as ā€œone of the most hauntingly beautifulā€ albums of the period.

Despite critical praise upon its release, the record failed to make a commercial impression.

Graham subsequently joined Help Yourself for the recording of their album “Strange Affair” before leaving to form the band Clancy in 1973.

With the passage of time, “Ernie Graham” is now recognised as being a special album from a gifted song writer. The new remastered edition of this wonderful album has been newly remastered from the original Liberty tapes and features a booklet with new essay.
