Italian Experimental Rock group Klidas will release their debut record “No Harmony” on June 2, 2023 through Australian label Bird’s Robe. The band has now revealed the second single “Not To Dissect.”

Klidas tell us: “The album concept focuses on the figure and symbolism of natural elements, and Not To Dissect portrays the impetuosity and sparkle of the flames of fire. This instrumental track was initially a tribute to Lucio Fulci’s film “Don’t Torture a Duckling”, with speedy riffing heading toward a disturbing dynamic progression.

It’s one of the first tracks composed and we enjoy to play it live every time, we hope you’ll enjoy it.

The band originally came together in 2014, before expanding to a lineup incorporating guitars, bass, drums, saxophone, keyboards & synth. They cover a wide array of genres, from Jazz to Psychedelia, Alternative Rock & Prog.

The band’s name is a Czech word meaning ‘giant of silence.’ In the band’s words: “silence is a prerequisite and indispensable pillar of every listening experience. Every act of sound, however chaotic, gives way to silence.

It’s an ironic name, given the band’s penchant for total chaos – they have developed an intense live show over the years, which has been honed into the songs recorded for the “No Harmony” EP. Recalling the sound of acts such as Secret Chiefs 3, The Mars Volta, Radiohead, Pirate & Swans, the band nevertheless have concocted their own brand of avante garde energy.

No Harmony” was recorded at NuFabric in Fermo, mixed by Alex Wilson (sleepmakeswaves), and mastered by Josh Bonati.
