Finnish Fuzz Rock band Heezer has quickly become one of the most promising names in the country’s modern Heavy Rock scene, while also coining their own description for the sound they represent: South Karelian Fuzzrock. Formed in 2020 in Imatra, the four-piece built its identity around massive fuzz-driven riffs, memorable melodies and groovy band dynamics. The lineup — Sami Kääriäinen (vocals, guitar), Ville Räsänen (guitar), Antti Vesikko (bass) and Ville Häsä (drums) thrives on organic chemistry and strong songwriting.
Heezer’s music blends the melodic tradition of Classic Rock with the raw energy of modern Stoner and Desert Rock. Influences range from the melodic sensibilities of The Beatles to the riff-driven power of Queens Of The Stone Age and the Nordic Desert Rock atmosphere associated with bands like Slomosa. A sound shaped by Heavy riffs, strong melodies and the raw spirit of rock played together in a room.
This year Heezer takes the next step with their second full-length album “Stereolith,” set for release on August 13. The record continues the band’s organic and unconventional approach to Rock Music, balancing energetic and uplifting tracks with darker tones while keeping strong melodies and massive fuzz riffs at the center. The first single “Horse” offers a glimpse of a band sounding more confident and focused than ever. Heezer’s strength lies in a simple formula: four musicians playing together with purpose and writing songs that stick.
