“Baana” is an image open to interpretation. The Krautrock-influenced pulse with almost a reckless feeling can be an homage to cycling or represent an adventure one might experience in the nightlife with youthul enthusiasim. In any case, the wide open road awaits, musically offering speed and danger.
The new Maa ilmasta single is out now, available on streaming platforms here: https://recordu.lnk.to/Baana
To celebrate the release, Maa Ilmasta will be performing live tomorrow at Korjaamo, Helsinki. Maa Ilmasta opens the night, with Pambikallio and Sepikka taking the stage afterwards.

Playing “Instrumental music in Finnish,” Maa Ilmasta has been touring Finland extensively and garnered a reputation as a wild live act. They can offer atmospheric and intimate moments but also indulge themselves in Rock’n’Roll ecstasy. On the other hand, they have been noticed by the art music crowd as well, appearing in the Rondo Classic magazine.
They have recently signed a booking deal with Alt Agency.
