“Noises” offers an unapologetically honest look at the personal struggles and societal challenges we all face. Addressing themes such as domestic violence, loss, addiction, and heartbreak, the album explores the darker sides of life, while balancing it with more eclectic, yet equally powerful, elements like space exploration, mystical owls, and the raw energy of Rock’n’Roll. Flush expertly fuses influences from Deftones, Bad Religion, 90s Alt-Rock and Grunge, making “Noises” a must-listen for fans of dynamic and genre-defying music.
To mark the album’s release, we are excited to present the lyric video for “We’re Not Yet Alright,” watch it through the YouTube player below:
On the surface, “We’re Not Yet Alright” may seem like a lighthearted drinking anthem, akin to earlier tracks like “Cheap Beer” and “Entertainment.” However, the track offers more than meets the eye. At its core, the lyrics delve into the experience of seeking refuge in a bar-where, for a fleeting moment, we find comfort and connection with others who share our struggles. It’s about realizing we’re all a little broken, but in this space, we don’t have to face the world outside. Flush’s music creates a temporary refuge for those who need it, offering a sense of belonging where we can say: “We’re all fucked, so let’s be fucked together.”
