Italian poet, performer, and multi-instrumentalist Gianni Carlin has officially released his new independent Experimental Progressive Rock single, “Fraxinetum.”

Based in Belluno, Italy, Carlin wrote, performed, mixed, and mastered the track, handling vocals, guitars, synthesizers, and programmed drums, alongside bassist Alfonso Capasso.
Building on a self-produced aesthetic, “Fraxinetum” combines lo-fi production values with Experimental arrangements and irregular time signatures. The composition pairs a persistent guitar motif and a pulsating bass line with unusual rhythms, ambient echoes, and subtle Atmospheric sounds to depict a moment of personal disorientation. Lyrically, the song reflects on stillness, uncertainty, and moving forward without lingering on nostalgia.
The single marks a deliberate musical evolution from Carlin‘s previous two records, “A caccia di vento” (February 2025) and “In nessun luogo” (November 2025).
“Fraxinetum” is available now for streaming and high-quality digital download on Bandcamp, accompanied by an official stream on YouTube.
