Grind Fever presents “Zero Sum,” the second single from their forthcoming debut album. In this track, the band melds their diverse musical influences into a sound that is both cleaner and more powerful. Together with “Runaway,” these two singles provide a revealing glimpse into the album, which is approximately 60% complete. The transition from the sound of their “Cave Transmission” EP to a finely tuned ’90s Rock reflects the band’s core influences brilliantly.

“The wreckage I’ve become is just the vector’s sum.“

“Our experience of life is essentially the aggregate of countless brief moments and what we derive from them. At times, it feels as though life progresses while we remain static, like passengers without a destination. Ultimately, these memories converge into a blank slate. Life, in essence, is a zero-sum game.“
The album’s visual aspect is as thoughtfully crafted as its sound. The cover art, curated once again by the band’s long-time collaborator Luís Jacinto, continues this artistic synergy. The artwork for both “Runaway” and “Zero Sum” features an experimental approach to analog polaroid manipulation, perfectly capturing the essence of the band’s music in visual form.
Lineup:
Francisco Figueiredo / Bass, Vocals
Júnior Neves / Drums
Ricardo Tavares / Guitars
Recorded and Mixed at The Wizard Studio with André Ribeiro and mastered by Tiago Loja, the debut album is expected to arrive later this year or early 2025.
