Imatra, Finland based Stoner Rock group Heezer has just released their EP “Mushroomhill Boogie Tapes” digitally. Their full-length debut “Sungrinder” was made public through Italian Argonauta Records last March. Straight after that the band started pumping out new songs at a brisk pace. Consequently, the quartet decided to release a summery, full-throttle EP consisting of straight up Rock’n’Roll without gimmicks.
“As not that much time has passed since our debut LP, we wanted this fresh EP to be a distinct package both sound and vibe wise. Because we went for rock, it felt natural to let Turbonegro influence the process. Their songs play in our heads anyway and they are the original insipiration. Lyrics are not trying to avoid clichés in any way and the basic themes remain sex, women, gambling and Imatra,” the singer-guitarist Sami Kääriäinen says.
