The buzz was resounding: Helloween who have sold more than ten million records worldwide and are one of the most respected German metal bands since 1984, announced their “Pumpkins United World Tour” in 2016. The media went wild. for the tour of the year, or sixty-nine concerts in thirty-two countries around the world. More than a million fans across three continents were ecstatic because it wasn’t just the reunion of the original band, but also the summit of the definitive seven heroes of Helloween: Andi Deris, Michael Kiske, Michael Weikath, Kai Hansen, Markus Grosskopf, Sascha Gerstner and Dani Löble. Or to put it simply: it was a dream come true for fans around the world. The band gathered five times more spectators than expected and they all had one wish: “Please, stay together!“.
In the wake of this enthusiasm, one of the largest magazines of the genre, “BURRN!” (Japan), celebrated the band with four incredible covers, followed by the storm of the century that broke out within the social media universe, a celebrated single like “Pumpkins United” and an unstoppable hunger for more, much more! And yes, the musicians tasted the blood and it was clear: there is no going back, the future of Helloween will be written in unity. The beginning of a new era and the rebirth of a metal legend with exceptional artists have been marked. Their new album will be released in the summer of 2021 and – drum roll – the spectacular single “Skyfall” will be released on April 2, 2021.
“Skyfall” will be available on CD, digital and vinyl (two different versions).
Single 1: Vinyl, CD, Digital:
“Skyfall” (single edit) + “Skyfall” (exclusive alternative vocals mix). These are two exclusive versions that will not be on the disc. Duration: about 20 minutes.
Single 2: vinyl only
“Skyfall” (single edit) + “Indestructible” (exclusive album track). It is a limited version of the new single with an exclusive song from the new record.
The epic twelve-minute track “Skyfall,” written by Kai Hansen, has the much-desired “Keeper” vibe, but does not musically reflect the album’s entire story, which traces every era loved by fans: from unforgettable times to most recent glorious adventures up to the next album of the new era of Helloween. “Skyfall” tells of an alien landing on Earth and a dramatic chase, as Hansen, Kiske and Deris duel each other in a breathtaking way and create a broadband adventure, which includes a sheet with text and colored blocks identifying the singers and a terrific video. Produced by Martin Häusler, it will be the most elaborate video in the band’s history, made with 3-D animation in a cinematic guise!

The very first release of the new era of Helloween proves worthy of the occasion: just like a full album, it will be available in different formats, curated with love and care, especially for all collectors and super fans: the CD digipak and gatefold 12 vinyl. ″ In various styles such as shape-LP and picture disc, black or in the combinations orange / clear, orange / black, green / marbled black, orange / black splatter and red / black splatter.
The basis of the upcoming album had already been laid in the studio: using the original drums of Ingo Schwichtenberg, the recording was made with the same modulators at the Home studios in Hamburg, where “Master Of The Rings” were recorded at the time, “The Time Of The Oath” and “Better Than Raw.” An impactful return to analogue roots thanks to the great work of longtime producer Charlie Bauerfeind and co-producer Dennis Ward before the album flew to New York for the final mix at Ronald Prent’s Valhalla Studios (Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Rammstein).
With the newest material, an album has been created that stands out from the digital mainstream, proving that the essence of the band has never been so solid.
“Skyfall” is the beginning of something really big – here come Helloween!
