Cyrax, very Experimental Prog band with many influences, announce their fourth full length “Novo Deus.”
After the highly acclaimed first 3 albums and their acoustic EP which were already characterized by a very strong personality and musical eclecticism, 10 years of activity, more than 1 million views and streaming and a successful European summer tour, the band created a very original sound with ethnic and tribal connotations.
While the underlying Prog Metal matrix remains strong, we will take a journey through typical sounds from all parts of the world: we will move from Africa to American country, from Argentine tango to Brazilian bossa up to China and Japan. This marvellous work is made even more authentic by the choice to sing in 17 languages and the use of typical instruments that denote an almost obsessive search for detail.
Furthermore lyrics are inspired by great poets such as Fernando Pessoa and Rafael Alberti, opera librettos, Haiku and the great English romantic poetry. As always the band involved an impressive number of special guests including singers, saxophonists, trumpeters and flautists and much more.
All obviously embellished by the skilful work of Alessandro Del Vecchio at mixing (Jorn, Edge Of Forever, Hardline) and the artwork by Jan Yrlund (Manowar, Bon Jovi)
The is self product and will be realised on 31st of December 2023.
