About the song, the band says: âHave you ever helped a friend who eventually proved to be a coward and a liar? After a betrayal, we must find the freedom to run and move on. Thatâs Freedom to Run, the Clamps’ first single from the new album Megamouth to be released in 2024.â
The furious trio’ third album “Megamouth” reflects post-pandemic anger and features ten hard-charging tracks dripping with fat Fuzzy guitars, cheeky pumping basslines and furious drumming. The Clamps is a three-piece speed-Stoner Rock’n’Roll band formed in Bergamo, Northern Italy, in 2012. Made up of former members of local Punk, Metal and Alternative Rock bands, The Clamps started to hit the road a few months later for plenty of shows in Italy and Europe, where they shared the stage with bands such as The Sewergrooves, Nashville pussy, Pontiac, Valient Thorr, Wild Eyes, Valley of The Sun, Black Tusk and more. The Clamps squeeze Atoner, Speedrock, Punk and Rock’nâRoll into a no-frills fat Fuzzy sound, and their shows are pure energy only. Their debut album “Deadly Kick For A Fat Fucker” was released in 2013 through Go Down Records, followed by “Blend, Shake, Swallow” in 2017 on Italian powerhouse Heavy Psych Sounds Records.
