On September 4, 2020, the debut album Jasmeno will be released by Lynx Music. This is a relatively new project in the music industry. In the fall of 2017, Slavomir Maria Nietupski (keyboards) began working on his original material, involving additional musicians for individual pieces. The key moment was establishing cooperation with the Italian multi-instrumentalist Andrea Boccarusso as a vocalist. Apart from the solo guitar parts performed by the Italian, local musicians also appeared in Jasmeno‘s ranks: Piotr Chomicz from the Underfate formation (electric guitar), Anna Heron (vocals) and Robert Jakubiec (trumpet). The presenter of Radio Gdańsk – Beata Szewczyk lent her voice. The Australian singer / guitarist Lecia Louise and the American Gabriela Gutierrez on the harp also took part in the recordings.
The debut album directly refers to the broadly understood pop, electronic and rock music. The genre eclecticism manifests itself in Jasmeno‘s music, directly referring to the 70s / 80s. The album with the same title offers 10 compositions with a very melancholic atmosphere. The sounds from the songs are like an introverted journey into the past. However, despite references to the past, the form and sound of Jasmeno‘s music is inlaid with contemporary ornaments. This is a position for fans of Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd, Alphaville, Enigma, Tangerine Dream, Schiller, The Doors, Jean-Michel Jarre …
