Eora/Sydney-based Progressive/Folk/Art Rock band July Morning have unveiled the new single “The Canary Song” taken from their upcoming album, “The Colours of Darkness,” set for release on April 17, 2025.

“The Colours of Darkness” is the debut album from Sydney-based indie/art-rock band, July Morning. The album is an exploration of battling, living with and overcoming ill mental health in the modern world, developed as an expression of the personal experiences of the band. It is a rich tapestry woven together with inspirations from Progressive Rock, Folk Rock, Blues, Jazz, Psychedelia, and Post-Punk.
Recorded between October 2024 and November 2025, “The Colours of Darkness” features ten tracks, including previously released singles “Upper Hand,’ “Beacon,” “Force of Nature,” and “The Canary Song.”
