Spanish Occult Doom Rock trio Kabbalah have unveiled the official video for their new stand-alone single “Consuelo, Esperanza,” which just dropped today, September 26, 2024 via Ripple Music. Watch the video through the YouTube player below:
The band comments: “The inspiration for ‘Consuelo, Esperanza‘ comes from the Palestinian genocide. We all have to step up against injustice, racism, xenophobia and hatred. Consuelo and Esperanza are two powerful words, and also the names of two women that inspired the tittle of the song.”
Music & lyrics by Carmen.
Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Roberto Urzaiz at Moreat 29 Estudios.
Music video by Cristina Aranguren – La Guillotina.
Formed in North of Spain by Carmen (drums/vocals), Marga (bass/vocals) and Maria (guitar/vocals), Kabbalah looms in the dark, esoteric realms of witchcraft and closed-door arts. The trio self-released three EPs between 2013 and 2016, leading to their 2017 debut album “Spectral Ascent.” With their 70s Heavy Rock brimming with Coven-inspired Occult atmospheres draped over the bones of Black Sabbath and Blue Öyster Cult, the power trio has been well-received among followers of the darkest sounds. In 2021, Kabbalah took a leap forward with the release of their critically acclaimed sophomore album and Ripple Music debut “The Omen,” an unwaveringly creative, enigmatic and spellbinding album that landed on many end-of-year lists.
After the reissue by Ripple Music of their first LP, “Spectral Ascent,” along with more releases and some touring dates in Europe during 2023, Kabbalah invokes 2024 with the making of new Occult Rock grimoires where sticky melodies, funerary riffs and liturgy vocals come together.
