Formed in Rome in 2008, Karmamoi have consistently reinterpreted Progressive Rock with a modern edge, blending classic complexity with Atmospheric textures, Cinematic moods, and emotionally driven songwriting. Over the years, they have crafted a signature sound marked by immersive arrangements and strong conceptual narratives. Their music delves into introspection, human fragility, and social themes through intricate compositions and evocative soundscapes.
With “Eternal Mistake,” Karmamoi present a story about love — but not the kind we expect. The album explores the relationship between a human and a humanoid: two souls reaching beyond the boundaries of logic and flesh, searching for authenticity in a world shaped by code and imperfection. It reflects on what happens when emotion confronts design, when empathy challenges programming, and when the heart discovers that even mistakes can be beautiful. Perhaps love itself is the eternal mistake — the one error we continue to make because it reminds us we are alive.
Musically, “Eternal Mistake” blends sweeping orchestral passages and powerful guitar riffs into a modern progressive rock framework enriched by electronic textures and Karmamoi’s trademark Cinematic atmosphere. “Eternal Mistake is about connection,” says drummer and composer Daniele Giovannoni. “It asks whether emotion can exist beyond biology, and whether our mistakes — especially in love — are really mistakes at all. This is our most ambitious album so far. It marks an evolution in our sound while preserving the identity that makes Karmamoi recognizable.”
The album features internationally respected musicians including Adam Holzman and Randy McStine, highlighting the band’s ongoing artistic openness and global collaborations.
