[News] Kekal unveil the official lyric video for “The Ascending Collective” taken from upcoming album

Indonesian band Kekal is releasing a new album entitled “Envisaged,” their 13th full-length album on July 15, 2022 via Elevation Records. This album features 9 tracks total with more than 51 minutes of playing time. The band published the official lyric video for “The Ascending Collective,” available for stream through the YouTube player below:

Envisaged” is an album that was specifically created to celebrate The Great Awakening of humanity and Earth’s Ascension to the higher octave of vibrational frequency. All the songs were written during the recording process, to capture the spontaneous moments of insights within each and every passage of creation. The music and lyrics represent a creative spiritual journey following continuous revelations regarding the current events on Earth that have been unfolding especially in the past few years. If observed and put together in a continuum, they signify the process of global collective awakening and purification towards humanity’s grand destiny: to transcend the matrix and rise beyond the construct of duality.

About Kekal:

Formed in 1995 as a more straight-forward Extreme Metal band with Punk-influenced attitude, Jakarta – Indonesia-based Kekal has been venturing deeply into the continuous exploration in creating music for 27 years and counting. Their monumental 4th album “1000 Thoughts of Violence” (2003) marked the beginning of their journey into the unknown, where they successfully blend their extreme metal basic energy with the enormous amount of Progressive and Experimental elements, but yet somehow— accessible. For Kekal, musical exploration is considered as one important method of self-actualization.

Kekal is one of the first bands/musicians from Indonesia to gain international presence in the early and mid 2000 by releasing albums in both North American and European markets, and the first band from Indonesia to tour Europe in March 2004—playing a string of live concerts in Germany, Netherlands and Sweden.

Since 2009, Kekal has become a band with no official members, but its former member(s) still continue to make music and to release albums for Kekal, albeit as anonymous contributors that are not published as music performers.
