Basel, Switzerland based voodoo injected Rock’n’Roll trio King Legba And The Loas is back with their brand new EP “Shine A Light,” which was just released on September 23rd, 2022 via Czar Of Crickets Productions. King Legba & The Loas was formed in summer 2011 by Marco Grementieri and Tobi Glanzmann in Basel, Switzerland.
The Lineup of the trio is completed by drummer Silvio Spadino. In 2012 the band recorded their debut EP which was released on Czar of Crickets in 2013.
In 2019 the band released the follow-up album “Back From The Dead,” which was recorded in Sweden with legendary producer Tomas Skogsberg (The Hellacopters, Backyard Babies, Entombed).
For their current release, the EP “Shine A Light,” the band teamed up with Tomas Skogsberg again. The result is a wild witches brew of fuzzed out guitars, thundering drums, walls of bass guitar and hypnotizing vocals. This time complemented with a psychedelic component unheard onthe bands previous releases.
“Shine A Light” takes the listener on a journey through a landscape of eclectic songs, which wander between Stoner Rock, Blues soaked sixties Fuzz-Psychedelic and the Seattle Rock of the 90ies. The band calls this formula “Voodoo injected Rock’n’Roll”…
